Changed 2 Jan 2006

The current family tree database has been uploaded to the family tree on the web.

Oct 2005

--A new web page has been added called "Places of Interest".  It will list places of family interest along with GPS longitude and latitude to assist historical wanderers. We will try to add photo links also.

--The minutes of the 10 Oct 2005 DHF Board Meeting can be found under the "Board Info" link to the left.

--Scholarship application are due Feb 15 2006. We plan to provide three $300 academic scholarships and one $100 family research scholarship in 2006.

--Many of the web sites have been changed and we now have a New Twigs photo gallery and a Discussion Forum for select topics. If you should find a link that leads to an unexpected place or have other comments, please contact Roger Durand at rdurand@durandfoundation.com.

--Johnny Ride 2005 will occur on Friday-Sunday, August 19-21 in Siren WI.  Click on the "Johnny Ride" link on the home page for more information and forms.

--Blanche Hammer, after 5 years of excellent maintenance of the family tree database, will be passing those responsibilities back to Roger Durand again in March 2005.  The volume of changes has decreased and it now easier to upload changes to the website (done by Roger) so that members should see their changes sooner.

-- Make a donation to the Durand Heritage Foundation, it's as simple as pie! Just click here on the Donations hyperlink and you'll be off and running. Print out the form and mail it in.

--Do you have material or ideas for the newsletter? Click on the "Newsletter" link in the column to the left.

-- What, you're not getting a newsletter? Become a member today and receive your free copy published at least 3-4 times per year. Go to Membership Application and enroll on-line the PayPal credit card processing system or you can print and mail in payment by check with the printed form. You'll be glad you did.

-- Back issues of the newsletters are now available for viewing on line in the Archives. Newsletters are added one year after publishing and mailing to active members.  Previously, on line viewing was available only to members using a password.  Administration of this system became cumbersome and the board officers felt that the newsletter material was too valuable not to be shared.
