11. Louis³ Durand (Louis², Jean¹ Durand dit Lafortune) was born in Quebec City, Que 13 Aug 1700. Louis died 1776 in Ste-Genevieve, Berthier, Quebec, at 75 years of age.

He married Marie-Anne Demers in Sorel, Quebec, 22 Jan 1723/1724. Marie-Anne is the daughter of Pierre Demers and Jeanne Houde.

Louis Durand and Marie-Anne Demers had the following children:

25 i. Marie Catherine⁴ Durand was born 26 Mar 1724. Marie died 1724 at less than one year of age.

+ 26 ii. Louis Durand was born 1725.

27 iii. Francois Durand was born in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que 1731. Francois died 1734 in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que, at 3 years of age.

28 iv. Marie Anne Durand was born 1733.

+ 29 v. Jean Baptiste Durand was born 23 Jul 1735.

30 vi. Marie Joseph Durand was born in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que 1737. Marie died 1777 in Saint-Cuthbert [Berthier], Que, at 40 years of age. She married Joseph Perreault in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que, 1764.

+ 31 vii. Pierre Durand was born 12 Jun 1738.

32 viii. Marie-Anne Durand was born in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que 1740. Marie-Anne died 1741 in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que, at 1 year of age.

+ 33 ix. Joseph Durand was born 1741.

+ 34 x. Ambroise Durand was born 1743.

35 xi. Francoise Durand was born in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que 1745. Francoise died 1745 in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que, at less than one year of age.

36 xii. Michel Durand was born in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que 1746. Michel died 1746 in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que, at less than one year of age.

37 xiii. Marie-Amable Durand was born in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que 1748. Marie-Amable died 1748 in Lanoraie [Berthier], Que, at less than one year of age.

38 xiv. Francois Durand was born in Lavaltrie [berthier], Que 1750. Francois died 1750 in Lavaltrie [berthier], Que, at less than one year of age.

39 xv. Francoise Durand was born in Lavaltrie [berthier], Que 1750. Francoise died 1750 in Lavaltrie [berthier], Que, at less than one year of age.

40 xvi. Jacques Durand was born after 1750.
