He married Eloise (Heloise) Dubois. Eloise became the mother of Heloise Durand in Joliette, Que., 1875. Eloise became the mother of Zephirin Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1877. Eloise became the mother of Edmond Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1879. Eloise became the mother of Joseph-Napoleon Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1880. Eloise became the mother of Alphonsine Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1883. Eloise became the mother of Joseph-Norbert-edouard Durand in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Quebec, 1885. Eloise became the mother of Albert Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1888.

At 21 years of age Octavien became the father of Heloise Durand in Joliette, Que., 1875. At 23 years of age Octavien became the father of Zephirin Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1877. At 25 years of age Octavien became the father of Edmond Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1879. At 26 years of age Octavien became the father of Joseph-Napoleon Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1880. At 29 years of age Octavien became the father of Alphonsine Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1883. At 31 years of age Octavien became the father of Joseph-Norbert-edouard Durand in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Quebec, 1885. At 34 years of age Octavien became the father of Albert Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1888.

Octavien Durand and Eloise (Heloise) Dubois had the following children:

2030 i. Heloise⁹ Durand was born in Joliette, Que. 1875. Heloise died 1879 in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, at 4 years of age.

2033 iv. Joseph-Napoleon Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1880. Joseph-Napoleon died 1881 in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, at 1 year of age.

2034 v. Alphonsine Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1883. Alphonsine died 1948 in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Quebec, at 65 years of age. She married Theophile Desfonds in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1903.

2035 vi. Joseph-Norbert-edouard Durand was born in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Quebec 1885. Joseph-Norbert-edouard died 1885 in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Quebec, at less than one year of age.

2036 vii. Albert Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1888. Albert died in St. Aimee (hyacinthe), Que. He married Marie Silver in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1903.
