He married twice. He married Irene Frenette in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1921. Irene became the mother of Marguerite Durand in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1924. Irene became the mother of Pauline Durand in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1926. Irene became the mother of Theresa Durand in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1927. He married Marie-Ange Charest in St. Lin (qssomtion), Que, 1938.

At 24 years of age Josaphat became the father of Marguerite Durand in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1924. At 26 years of age Josaphat became the father of Pauline Durand in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1926. At 27 years of age Josaphat became the father of Theresa Durand in Tres-saint-nom-de-jesus, Montreal, 1927.
