He married Eleonore Cusson in Terrebonne, Que, 1863. Eleonore became the mother of Joseph-Henri Durand in Terrebonne, Que, 1864. Eleonore became the mother of Edouard Durand in Terrebonne, Que, 1865. Eleonore became the mother of Arsene Durand in L'epiphanie [l'assomption], Que, 1866. Eleonore became the mother of Walderic-Alderic Durand in L'epiphanie [l'assomption], Que, 1869. Eleonore became the mother of Alexina Durand 1870. Eleonore became the mother of Corine Durand 1872.

At 25 years of age Jean-Baptiste became the father of Joseph-Henri Durand in Terrebonne, Que, 1864. At 26 years of age Jean-Baptiste became the father of Edouard Durand in Terrebonne, Que, 1865. At 27 years of age Jean-Baptiste became the father of Arsene Durand in L'epiphanie [l'assomption], Que, 1866. At 30 years of age Jean-Baptiste became the father of Walderic-Alderic Durand in L'epiphanie [l'assomption], Que, 1869. At 31 years of age Jean-Baptiste became the father of Alexina Durand 1870. At 33 years of age Jean-Baptiste became the father of Corine Durand 1872.

Jean-Baptiste Durand and Eleonore Cusson had the following children:
