He married Julie Doucet in Maskinonge, Que, 1863. Julie became the mother of Marie-Louise Durand in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Que, 1865. Julie became the mother of Marie-Celanire Durand in USA, 1868.

At 25 years of age Alexis became the father of Marie-Louise Durand in Saint-Barthelemy [Berthier], Que, 1865. At 28 years of age Alexis became the father of Marie-Celanire Durand in USA, 1868.

Alexis Durand and Julie Doucet had the following children:
