He married Eloise Laporte Dite Saint Georges in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1859. Eloise became the mother of Zenobie Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1860. Eloise became the mother of Pierre Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1863. Eloise became the mother of Joseph-Oliva Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1864. Eloise became the mother of Hermas Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1866. Eloise became the mother of Sophronie Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1871. Eloise became the mother of Zenaide Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1873. Eloise became the mother of Joseph Parfait Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1875.

At 29 years of age Joseph became the father of Hermas Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1866. At 34 years of age Joseph became the father of Sophronie Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1871. At 36 years of age Joseph became the father of Zenaide Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1873. At 38 years of age Joseph became the father of Joseph Parfait Durand in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1875.
