He married Mercelline Picard Dit Des Troismaisons in Berthier [berthierville] Que, 1855. Mercelline became the mother of Emilie Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1857. Mercelline became the mother of Marie-Georgina Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1859. Mercelline became the mother of Joseph-Adelard Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1861. Mercelline became the mother of Zephirin Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1864. Mercelline became the mother of Louis-Philippe Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1867. Mercelline became the mother of Elisabeth-Exilda Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1869.

At 28 years of age Joseph became the father of Emilie Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1857. At 35 years of age Joseph became the father of Zephirin Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1864. At 38 years of age Joseph became the father of Louis-Philippe Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1867. At 40 years of age Joseph became the father of Elisabeth-Exilda Durand in St-Gabriel-de-Brandon (Berthie, Que, 1869.

Joseph Durand and Mercelline Picard Dit Des Troismaisons had the following children:
