He married Marie-Jeanne Elliott in Saint-Paulin [Maskinonge], Que. Marie-Jeanne became the mother of Anna Durand in St. Paulin, Que, 1896. Marie-Jeanne became the mother of Raoul Durand in Lowell, MA, 1900. Marie-Jeanne became the mother of Emile Durand in Shawanigan, Que, 1907. Marie-Jeanne became the mother of Willy Durand in Shawanigan, Que, 1909.

At 12 years of age Joseph became the father of Anna Durand in St. Paulin, Que, 1896. At 16 years of age Joseph became the father of Raoul Durand in Lowell, MA, 1900. At 23 years of age Joseph became the father of Emile Durand in Shawanigan, Que, 1907. At 25 years of age Joseph became the father of Willy Durand in Shawanigan, Que, 1909.

Joseph Durand and Marie-Jeanne Elliott had the following children:

1284 i. Anna⁷ Durand was born in St. Paulin, Que 1896. Anna died in Montreal, Que. She married Albert Benard in St. Edouard, Que.

+ 1285 ii. Raoul Durand was born 1900.

+ 1286 iii. Emile Durand was born 1907.

1287 iv. Willy Durand was born in Shawanigan, Que 1909. Willy died 1937 in Montreal, Que, at 28 years of age.
