283. Louis⁵ Durand (Louis⁴, Joseph³, Louis(3)*² DURAND, Louis(2)*¹) was born in Sainte-Elisabeth [Joliette], Que 1814. Louis died 1883 in Joliette, Que., at 69 years of age.

He married three times. He married Marie Bruneau in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1836. Marie became the mother of Louis Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1837. Marie became the mother of Marie Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1839. Marie became the mother of Antoine Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1841. Marie became the mother of Mathilde Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1847. Marie became the mother of Philomene Durand in Saint-Ambroise [Joliette], Que, 1847. Marie became the mother of Julie Durand in Saint-Ambroise [Joliette], Que, 1850. Marie became the mother of Oxilda-Caroline Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1852. He married Angelique Gagnon in Lachine, Que, 1864. He married Rosalie Nadeau in Joliette, Que., 1878.

At 23 years of age Louis became the father of Louis Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1837. At 25 years of age Louis became the father of Marie Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1839. At 27 years of age Louis became the father of Antoine Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1841. At 33 years of age Louis became the father of Mathilde Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1847. At 33 years of age Louis became the father of Philomene Durand in Saint-Ambroise [Joliette], Que, 1847. At 36 years of age Louis became the father of Julie Durand in Saint-Ambroise [Joliette], Que, 1850. At 38 years of age Louis became the father of Oxilda-Caroline Durand in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que, 1852.

Louis Durand and Marie Bruneau had the following children:

593 i. Louis⁶ Durand was born in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que 1837.

594 ii. Marie Durand was born in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que 1839.

595 iii. Antoine Durand was born in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que 1841. Antoine died 1880 in Joliette, Que., at 39 years of age.

596 iv. Mathilde Durand was born in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que 1847.

597 v. Philomene Durand was born in Saint-Ambroise [Joliette], Que 1847.

598 vi. Julie Durand was born in Saint-Ambroise [Joliette], Que 1850. She married twice. She married David Beaudry in Joliette, Que., 1871. She married Paul Denis in Joliette, Que., 1892.

599 vii. Oxilda-Caroline Durand was born in Sainte-Melanie [Joliette], Que 1852.
