He married Antoinette Turcotte in Saint-Jean-de-Matha [Joliette], Que, 1929. Antoinette became the mother of Renaud Durand in St. Alphonse, Montreal, 1930. Antoinette became the mother of Alain Durand in St. Jean De La Croix, Montreal, 1938.

At 31 years of age Real became the father of Renaud Durand in St. Alphonse, Montreal, 1930. At 39 years of age Real became the father of Alain Durand in St. Jean De La Croix, Montreal, 1938.

Real Durand and Antoinette Turcotte had the following children:
