He married three times. He married Vera G. Harrison in Muskegon, MI, 1926. Vera was born in Big Rapids, MI 1908. Vera was the daughter of James Harrison and Mary Tribe. Vera died 1984 in Muskegon, MI, at 76 years of age. At 19 years of age Vera became the mother of James Durand in Muskegon, MI, 27 Sep 1927. At 20 years of age Vera became the mother of Betty Durand in Muskegon, MI, 13 Apr 1929. He married Helen Peacock after 1927. He married Ann Mcdonald after 1930.

At 21 years of age Lawrence became the father of James Durand in Muskegon, MI, 27 Sep 1927. At 22 years of age Lawrence became the father of Betty Durand in Muskegon, MI, 13 Apr 1929.
