He married Gertrude Thibault in Montreal, Que, 1948. Gertrude became the mother of Nicole Durand in Nativite D'hochelaga, Montreal, 1950. Gertrude became the mother of Carmen Durand 1951. Gertrude became the mother of Serge Durand 1952.

At 32 years of age Jean became the father of Nicole Durand in Nativite D'hochelaga, Montreal, 1950. At 33 years of age Jean became the father of Carmen Durand 1951. At 34 years of age Jean became the father of Serge Durand 1952.
