He married Marguerite Paquette in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1833. Marguerite became the mother of Joseph Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1834. Marguerite became the mother of Norbert Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1836. Marguerite became the mother of Etienne Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1838. Marguerite became the mother of Marguerite Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1840.

At 27 years of age Etienne became the father of Joseph Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1834. At 29 years of age Etienne became the father of Norbert Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1836. At 31 years of age Etienne became the father of Etienne Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1838. At 33 years of age Etienne became the father of Marguerite Durand in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1840.

Etienne Durand and Marguerite Paquette had the following children:

492 i. Joseph⁷ Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1834.

493 ii. Norbert Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1836. Norbert died 1925 in Sainte-elisabeth [joliette], Que, at 89 years of age. He married three times. He married Sophie Monfils in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1859. He married Genvieve Desalliers in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, 1890. He married Genevieve Vaillancourt in St. Gabriel De Brandon, Que, 1905.

494 iii. Etienne Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1838.

495 iv. Marguerite Durand was born in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que 1840. Marguerite died 1840 in Saint-cuthbert [berthier], Que, at less than one year of age.
