He married Rita St. Jacques in Notre Dame De Paix, Verdun, 1947. Rita became the mother of Claude Durand in St. Cecile, Que., 1948. Rita became the mother of Ghislaine Durand in Notre Dame De Paix, Verdun, 1949. Rita became the mother of Gilles Durand in St. Eugene De Rosemont, Que., 1952. Rita became the mother of Diane Durand in St. Eugene De Rosemont, Que., 1953.

At 28 years of age Roland became the father of Claude Durand in St. Cecile, Que., 1948. At 29 years of age Roland became the father of Ghislaine Durand in Notre Dame De Paix, Verdun, 1949. At 32 years of age Roland became the father of Gilles Durand in St. Eugene De Rosemont, Que., 1952. At 33 years of age Roland became the father of Diane Durand in St. Eugene De Rosemont, Que., 1953.
