He married twice. He married Marcella Durand. Marcella was born in Spooner, Wi 1916. He married Catherine Margaret Kay Wall in Rice County, Mn, 30 May 1936. Catherine was born in Rice County, Mn 22 Feb 1916. Catherine died 22 Apr 1969 in Bloomington, Mn, at 53 years of age. At 21 years of age Catherine became the mother of Denis Daniel Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1937. At 22 years of age Catherine became the mother of Diane Marie Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1938. At 24 years of age Catherine became the mother of Dean Arthur Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1940. At 35 years of age Catherine became the mother of Derrick Francis Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1951. At 39 years of age Catherine became the mother of Debra Ann Dufresne 1955.

At 22 years of age Leonard became the father of Denis Daniel Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1937. At 23 years of age Leonard became the father of Diane Marie Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1938. At 25 years of age Leonard became the father of Dean Arthur Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1940. At 36 years of age Leonard became the father of Derrick Francis Dufresne in St. Paul, Ramsey, Mn, 1951. At 40 years of age Leonard became the father of Debra Ann Dufresne 1955.
