He married Edith Cutting in Saint-edmond, Coaticook, Que, 1882. Edith became the mother of Maud-Josephine Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1883. Edith became the mother of Louis-Gonzague Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1885. Edith became the mother of Charles Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1886. Edith became the mother of Airris Gertrude Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1890. Edith became the mother of Bernice-Agnes Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1891. Edith became the mother of Alice Josephine Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1894. Edith became the mother of Marie-Florence Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1896.

At 30 years of age Joseph became the father of Maud-Josephine Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1883. At 43 years of age Joseph became the father of Marie-Florence Durand in Coaticook [standstead], Que, 1896.
