At 32 years of age Gilbert became the father of Joseph-Arsene Durand in Saint-Cuthbert (Berthier), Qu©bbec, 1851. At 34 years of age Gilbert became the father of Louis Durand in Furnishville, IN, 1853. At 37 years of age Gilbert became the father of David Durand in Unknown Place, 1856.
