At 24 years of age Louis became the father of Nelda Durand in St. Anne At Kankakee, IL, 1877. At 26 years of age Louis became the father of Edward Durand in St. Anne At Kankakee, IL, 1879.

Louis Durand and Rosalie Saint-Pierre had the following children:

968 i. Nelda⁷ Durand was born in St. Anne At Kankakee, IL 1877. Nelda died 1929 in Los Angeles, CA, at 52 years of age. She married William Barlow in Elgin, IL, 1893.
